Reaching out to the Marginalised

The Rahab Ministry was started in 2001. Our main purpose is to offer a helping hand to the streetwalkers in Singapore's red light district.
Our hope is to provide these women with the opportunity to choose a different path and restore their dignity.
These women are often forgotten and misunderstood. They come from various Asian countries and are part of a transient population.

The work done by the team so far includes:

a. Health-screening sessions
We had conducted 3 health screening for the streetwalkers. Close to 100 had came for the free screening

b. Free English classes
Since 2003, we had conducted free english class and had attracted many of them. A few hundreds had attended our English conversational classes.

c. Counselling
This is free to those who are willing to seek alternate lifestyle. This include job emplacement. Faithpartners had offered counselling to many of them.

d. Blessing Projects
Distribution of gifts during festive seasons.
Through our blessing projects for the past 7 years, we had blessed over 1000 odd streetwalkers and conducted free english classes for close to 200 of them. So far, we have helped over 20 Street walkers to return to their native countries
